Membership

Membership with The International Society Of Ergonomics is accessible primarily through affiliation with a federated society. Individuals who are members of such societies automatically gain membership to ISE, enjoying all accompanying benefits. However, for individuals and organizations with a vested interest in fostering ergonomics and human factors, or establishing connections within the HFE community, the option of Sustaining Membership is extended. This opportunity aligns well with ISE’s non-profit character, as its endeavors rely on the voluntary efforts of dedicated scholars and practitioners. While many initiatives to advance ergonomics and human factors as distinct sciences and professions thrive on these voluntary efforts, additional resources are needed. The ISE

Sustaining Membership initiative contributes crucial support to the global expansion of ergonomics and human factors, including in developing industrial settings and informal work sectors where alternative funding is limited.

Sustaining Membership represents an unequivocal commitment to enhancing human well-being and performance. Beyond this overarching dedication, it provides several advantages, such as :

  • Enhanced Exposure: Sustaining members gain visibility through listing on the IEC website, often accompanied by a concise description.
  • Congress Participation: Depending on the chosen level of support, complimentary registrations for IEC Triennial Congress events are offered.
  • Informative Resources: Subscribers receive electronic copies of IEC’s monthly NewsBriefs, ensuring access to the latest developments and insights.
  • Brand Enhancement: For organizational members, the IEC website may host the organization’s logo with an active link to their corporate website, contributing to branding efforts.
  • Networking Opportunities: Certain levels offer invitations for an IEC officer to speak at corporate functions, providing valuable interaction and exchange.
